Treatments in our hair medical clinic:

BARCELONA - MADRID

One of our star treatments to strengthen the hair consists of combining a master formula with hair mesotherapy. With this initial treatment (shock treatment) we are able to stop hair loss, strengthen miniaturized hair and promote hair growth. Depending on the case, we complement the treatment with vitamins and injections of growth factors or PRP to give more vitality, shine and strength to the recovered hair.

Our doctors prescribe a magistral formula orally (1 capsule per day) that blocks the enzyme 5α-DHT and therefore promotes the growth of all existing hair. By blocking 5 Alpha reductase we delay baldness, strengthen existing hairs and in certain cases, increase density considerably, delaying, depending on the case, hair transplantation.

Hair Mesotherapy with Dutasteride: The Advanced Solution for Hair Loss

At May Clinica Medica Capillary Barcelona, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of hair loss treatments, offering the most innovative and effective solutions to our patients.

One of our outstanding services is Hair Mesotherapy with Dutasteride, applied using a microinjection technique with exceptional results.

Hair mesotherapy is a non-surgical treatment.

It revitalizes the scalp by injecting nourishing substances directly into the area affected by hair loss.

Using a micro-injector, our expert, the Dr. Giovanna>> , precisely delivers Dutasteride, an advanced compound known for its effectiveness in blocking DHT (dihydrotestosterone), the hormone responsible for most cases of alopecia.

Some frequently asked questions about hair treatments are:

Anti-androgen drugs are those that block or inhibit the effects of androgens, male hormones such as testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT), in the body. These drugs are used in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia, which is the most common form of hair loss in both men and women.

Some of the most well-known and commonly used anti-androgen medications to treat androgenetic alopecia include:

Photo packs of Finasteride 1mg together with Dutasteride 0.50mg. These photos are representative only.

It is an inhibitor of 5-alpha reductase, an enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT. By reducing DHT levels in the scalp, finasteride can prevent miniaturization of hair follicles and slow down hair loss. This medication is mainly used in men and is taken in pill form.

Similar to finasteride, dutasteride>> also inhibits 5-alpha reductase, but does so more effectively by blocking both 5-alpha reductase isoenzymes (type 1 and type 2). Although it is more potent than finasteride, it can also cause more side effects and is less widely used.

Spironolactone is a diuretic that also possesses anti-androgen properties. Although it is primarily used to treat hypertension and other conditions, in some cases it can be effective in treating hormone-related hair loss in women. It is taken in pill form. Commonly, the doses used range from 50 to 200 mg, with 100 mg being the most frequent dose. This medication may be combined with other hair treatments, such as minoxidil in oral form, dutasteride microinjections, or platelet-rich plasma.

Flutamide is a pure antiandrogen that blocks the action of androgens by binding to their receptors. It is used as a treatment to combat hormonal acne and hair loss related to hyperandrogenism in women. When flutamide is used as a hormone treatment, it interferes with the functioning of hormones in the body. Its use is less common and may present some contraindications and side effects, so it is important that the treatment is supervised by a specialist doctor.

Bicalutamide in mesotherapy is one of the newest treatments for androgenetic alopecia, and is now available for use. Bicalutamide is an anti-androgen drug that reduces the effect of male hormones on the body, and is injected directly into the scalp using mesotherapy. This treatment promises to be very effective in improving the quality of the hair and reducing hair loss.

It should be noted that these medications can have side effects, and not all patients can take them. It is always necessary to consult with a hair treatment specialist before starting any treatment with anti-androgen medications.

In addition to the treatments mentioned, there are other complementary options that can improve results and adapt to different cases of hair loss.

Pyrilutamine.

Pyrylutamine is a drug in development that promises to be an effective and safe treatment for androgenetic alopecia, acting on the androgen receptor to reduce hair loss.

It works by inhibiting the androgen receptor, which reduces the action of male hormones on the body. This treatment is administered topically, directly to the scalp, thus avoiding the side effects that antiandrogens can have at a systemic level. Although still in the research phase, pyrylutamide promises to be a very effective treatment for androgenetic alopecia.

GT20029 (AR-PROTAC).

GT20029 is another investigational treatment that acts as a PROTAC (protein-directed degradation molecule) of the androgen receptor. This substance could offer a novel solution to combat hair loss in people with androgenetic alopecia.

Dermapen.

The Dermapen is a microneedling device that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the scalp, improving blood circulation and promoting hair growth.

Ketoconazole.

Ketoconazole is an antifungal that can be applied topically to the scalp. It helps fight dandruff, relieves inflammation, and can be helpful in cases of alopecia associated with fungal infections.

Clascoteron: another investigational antiandrogen.

Clascoterone is another anti-androgen drug that appears to be very effective in treating androgenetic alopecia topically. It is currently in the research phase, so it is not yet available for commercial use. It is hoped that in the near future this treatment can be used safely and effectively to treat androgenetic alopecia.

Samirna: A gene therapy to treat androgenetic alopecia.

Samirna is a gene therapy that promises to be very effective in treating androgenetic alopecia. This therapy acts on the expression of certain genes related to hair loss, stimulating the growth of new hair follicles and improving hair quality. Although still in the research phase, samirna promises to be a revolutionary treatment for androgenetic alopecia.
